There are few things that make me prouder than knowing that my family and I rely a little less on factory farms. I see a value in teaching my kids this same skill and feeling of independence.
We decided to start raising our own feeder pigs and selling them based on our experience a few years ago. It seemed, each year it got harder to find quality piglets without having to drive 150 miles, only to be disappointed with piglets that were sick or obviously not properly cared for. My wife and I decided to take the entire cycle over for ourselves and now we not only have amazing pork that we sell to individuals and businesses, we now sell to other Homesteaders! Whether you are experienced or your a first timer, we are thrilled to have an opportunity to have our sows, Ester or Oreo, provide you with Berkshire piglets that will give your family top quality pork
Once you make your reservation, we will stay in touch with you from Farrow Date until they are ready to be picked up and head to your farm. The final payment is due upon pickup but the “reservation deposit” will ensure you are ready to start planning now. Pickup is done here at our farm so make sure you have something to put them in, they have plenty of energy at that age and will be ready to explore during the drive to your farm. We appreciate your interest in farming and thank you for allowing us to be a part of that experience.

Our Piglets
To ensure they arrive at your farm healthy, on day 3, our piglets will receive an Iron shot in addition to vaccines. The first 3 weeks they will nurse from their mom and the 4th week while they are being weaned, we watch them daily to ensure they continue to grow and adjust to a new diet. We give every piglet two fresh eggs per day to ensure they get a little boost.

Oreo and Ester
Meet Oreo and the little one behind her is Ester. Those pics are a few years old as both are now the sows that are the heart and soul of our pork business. We AI our sows from Shipley Genetics and use only registered Berkshire Boars to ensure their piglets are of top quality. Prior to farrow, our sows receive LitterGuard Lt-C. This ensures their piglets receive protective maternal antibodies against neonatal diarrhea and entertoxigenic strains of Escherichia coli.

Reserve Yours Today
We will have 2 Farrow dates in 2024. 1st Farrow Date is Feb 26th. Those piglets will be weaned and ready for Pickup by you March 24th. Our 2nd Farrow date is yet to be determined but will likely be one month later. Once Oreo is bred, we will set the dates. We sell out early each year, Reserve now. We also will have a stand by list if the litters are larger than expected.
